Terms and Conditions for Job Advertisers

These Terms and Conditions govern the submission and publication of job advertisements on the Nutrition Society’s jobs site (“the Site”). By submitting a job advertisement, you (“the Advertiser”) agree to the following:

1. Eligibility and Accuracy

  • Advertisers must ensure that all job postings are accurate, lawful, and reflect genuine vacancies.
  • Each advertisement must include sufficient detail about the role, including job title, description, location, salary (if applicable), and duration.
  • The Advertiser confirms they have the authority to advertise the role and that the position is open for applications.

2. Review and Moderation

  • The Nutrition Society reserves the right to review, edit, or refuse any advertisement that:
    • Contains misleading, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.
    • Conflicts with the Society’s values, culture, or strategic direction.
    • Is deemed unsuitable for the Site’s audience of professional nutritionists.

3. Edits and Amendments

  • The Society may make minor editorial changes to improve clarity, formatting, or consistency with the Site’s standards.
  • Where substantial changes are required, the Advertiser will be contacted for approval prior to publication.

4. Duration and Removal

  • Standard listings remain live for up to 30 days unless otherwise agreed.
  • The Society may remove listings early if they breach these Terms or if the vacancy is filled.

5. Fees and Payment

  • Advertisers agree to pay the applicable fee based on the selected advertising package.
  • Payment must be received before the advertisement is published unless otherwise arranged.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • The Society does not guarantee the success of any recruitment effort or the suitability of applicants.
  • The Society shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the Site or the failure to fill a vacancy.

7. Data Protection

  • Advertisers must comply with UK GDPR and data protection laws when handling applicant information.
  • The Society will process advertiser data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

8. Future Engagement

  • The Society values its relationship with advertisers and welcomes future collaboration.
  • By posting on the Site, advertisers contribute to the development of the nutrition profession by helping new and established professionals advance their careers.

9. Dispute Resolution

  • In the event of a dispute between the Advertiser and the Nutrition Society regarding the interpretation or application of these Terms, both parties agree to seek resolution through informal negotiation in the first instance.
  • If a resolution cannot be reached informally, the parties agree to submit the dispute to mediation administered by an independent mediator agreed upon by both parties.
  • Should mediation fail, the dispute may be referred to the courts of England and Wales, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
