The British Journal of Nutrition is currently recruiting First Editors.
First Editors are responsible for assessing the suitability of manuscripts assigned to you, including the technical and intellectual content, and for selecting lists of 15 -20 suitable reviewers in a timely manner for invitation by the editorial office.
The workload will vary from one month to the next. Typically, a First Editor can expect to receive no more than eight new manuscripts per month during busy times and we aim for First Editors to have no more than 4 current tasks at a time.
