Nutritional psychiatry is a rapidly developing field that explores the relationships between nutrition and mental, cognitive, and sleep health, as well as their neural and biological correlates. However, important questions remain around causality, underlying mechanisms, translation into practice, and how nutritional approaches can best support health across the life course.
The Nutrition Society Nutritional Psychiatry Special Interest Group (SIG) Research Day will bring together researchers, clinicians, representatives from industry, and early career scientists to showcase emerging research and discuss the latest developments in this field. The programme will highlight research across nutritional psychiatry and related disciplines, bringing together different methodological and disciplinary perspectives.
The day will feature a keynote lecture from Professor Anne-Marie Minihane, alongside original research presentations, Pecha Kucha presentations, poster sessions and an interdisciplinary panel discussion. The Research Day will also provide opportunities to connect with colleagues across the field, exchange ideas and develop new collaborations. With dedicated opportunities for early career researchers to present their work and engage with established researchers, the event aims to foster an inclusive and collaborative community within nutritional psychiatry.
