Congratulations to Harry Smith, University of Bath, for being awarded the overall winner of the 2017 Summer Studentship Research Project for his research on ‘The Role of Dietary Calcium and Protein in Gut Hormone Secretion.’
Harry Smith’s “career aspirations revolve around research in the area of Physiology, Nutrition and Metabolism, with a particular focus on Health, obesity and Type 2 Diabetes.”
Harry states that working on this project provided him “with invaluable research experience for this career path.” Harry states “Specifically, the project allowed me to contribute towards publishable scientific research. Furthermore, I was provided with the opportunity to learn new laboratory skills, including blood sampling and biochemical analysis of such samples.”
