Call for Abstracts
Call for abstracts is now open for Nutrition Futures 2025.
Deadline for submission: 3 August 2025 (11:59pm).
Unique to Nutrition Futures authors do not need to submit a full abstract.
Abstract format:
- Abstract title
- Select a theme
- Summarise the scope of the research in 200 words
Submit your abstract HERE.
The Society's Student Section will review all submissions and will be in contact with a decision the WC the 11th August 2025 to assign authors with a 5-minute presentation slot.
Original Communication Presentation Format:
- 5-minute presentation.
- Slides set to advance every 20 seconds (15 slides).
- Leave this feature off your title slide.
- Focus on concise, visually engaging slides with minimal text.
- 3 minutes for questions.
Presenters will be allocated a fixed time slot within the programme. It is essential that all presenters adhere strictly to their allotted time. To ensure the smooth running of the schedule and fairness to all participants, presentations that exceed their allocated time will be brought to a close, regardless of whether the presenter has finished. We recommend rehearsing in advance to ensure your content fits within the designated time frame.
For further information on how to set the timing and speed of PowerPoint slide transitions please visit: Set the timing and speed of a transition - Microsoft Support. Your slides will be requested via email by the Student Section by the 31st of August. Please start preparing your slides ahead of time.
Due to time and space constraints within the conference programme, there is a limit to the number of abstracts that can be accepted for presentation. We encourage early submissions to maximise the chance of success for inclusion.
While we aim to showcase as many student presentations as possible, we cannot guarantee a presentation slot for every student submission. Our ability to include presentations is dependent on the overall number and quality of abstracts received, as well as the structure of the final programme.
Authors will be notified of the outcome of their submission by the WC 11th of August 2025. However, if we reach the maximum number of accepted abstracts before this date, we reserve the right to close abstract submissions early. We therefore encourage students to submit as soon as possible. Decisions made by the conference committee are final and not subject to appeal.
Please note all abstract authors must attend the conference in person. Please do not submit an abstract if you do not plan on attending or presenting at the conference.
Accepted presenters must register for the conference to confirm their place in the programme. We suggest you do so as soon as your submission outcome is known. Failure to register by the deadline may result in removal from the final schedule.
The conference organisers reserve the right to modify the programme, including abstract slots, in response to logistical or scheduling considerations.
If you would like to withdraw an abstract or have any queries, please contact [email protected]
