At The Nutrition Society, we provide access to the latest thinking on the role nutrition plays in human and animal health. As a Society, we connect, share and grow with our members and the wider nutrition field. We accelerate the development of evidence-based nutritional science, for an informed and healthier society.

As our new Nutrition Officer, you will play a key role in developing the Nutrition Science Hub (the Society's webinar platform), spending your time horizon scanning for research by eminent scientists, hosting webinars, preparing key scientific messages, and promoting the Hub to new users.

This position is perfect for an ambitious, commercially minded nutrition professional with 1-2 years of experience to join a dynamic, science-led organisation. Please note that some UK and international travel may be required.

Key skills and knowledge:

  1. MSc in Nutrition Science.
  2. Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr).
  3. 1-2 years working in a nutrition focussed organisation.
  4. Experience translating written and verbal complex scientific research for a variety of purposes and audiences.
  5. Experience creating novel scientific communications in professional development scenarios and social media platforms.
  6. An understanding of professional development programmes and the associated scientific processes.
  7. Experience in delivering scientific training programmes, particularly online.
  8. Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
  9. Previous experience working with limited supervision.

Package:

Position: Nutrition Officer
Location: Hammersmith, London, UK
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £28-33k
