The pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on human health and currently the UK has the highest Covid-related death rate in Europe, with obesity and type 2 diabetes contributory factors. The Society is delighted to be part of ITN Productions' #TheFoodManifesto programme launched on 25 November 2021. The Food Manifesto is a news style programme that focuses on prevention rather than cure, exploring examples of how food, supplements, gut health and exercise can be part of an integrated, holistic approach to medicine, looking beyond prescription drugs.

Experts Dr Gemma Watson, Dr Edward Chambers, and Professor Kristen Verbeke met at Boyd Orr House to discuss the latest findings in this crucial area for our wellbeing.
