Study and Careers Home Page

Nutrition is an ever-expanding field and is growing more competitive. With this in mind the Study and Careers pages are to help people who are thinking about studying nutrition or those who are already studying nutrition and want to stand out from the crowd and get the job they want.

Study

The study page aims to help people get a good start towards their career in nutrition. You will find a list of undergraduate and postgraduate courses that the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists has accredited (only BSc and MSc courses are accredited), which means that:
• They meet our standards for the professional education of nutritionists.
• Graduates from accredited courses can gain direct entry onto the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists as an Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) or Associate Public Health Nutritionist (APHNutr).

The study page also helps those:
• Who have done a degree but are considering postgraduate study in nutrition, or wish to change career in nutrition – see Changing Careers to Nutrition and Vocational Training.
• Who are considering undertaking vocational training – see Changing Careers to Nutrition and Vocational Training - such as short course or distance learning course in Nutrition. These courses vary in topics, level; often advanced and specialised.

Careers

The careers page provides information on graduate level jobs and what is expected of you. See the Living Nutrition leaflet for more information. To help you decide on what sort of nutritionist you want to be, see the Becoming a Nutritionist leaflet.
