World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) International is now inviting applications for grants worldwide to fund research into the effects of food, nutrition and physical activity on cancer. WCRF International may also co-fund breast cancer project grants with Breast Cancer Campaign.

A memorial service is being held for Professor David Southgate, a long-standing member of the Nutrition Society and former editor of the British Journal of Nutrition. If anyone would like to attend it is to be held on Saturday 27 September 2008 at 3pm in the United Reformed Church, Unthank Road, Norwich (near Catholic Cathedral).
