A European Stakeholder Conference organised by The European Milk Forum (EMF).

This half day event will see a whole host of internationally renowned scientists come to Brussels in order to address the challenges with respect to adverse dietary and nutritional habits and discuss the latest scientific research support the natural nutritent-rich foods such as milk and dairy in a healthy and balanced diet.

Milk and Dairy – friend or foe? - Professor Ian Givens

About a quarter of our daily protein needs and up to 60% of other important nutrients such as calcium and phosphorus come from milk and dairy products. But despite the benefits for the young and for bone health being widely known, it’s the effects of milk and dairy consumption on our long term health and disease risk that are in the spotlight because of the considerable risk posed by increasing obesity.

2nd Kiel Food Science Symposium

The Kiel Food Science Symposium takes place in a 2-year rhythm. The aim of this international symposium is:

  • to offer a scientific platform for representatives from academia, industry, food authorities and policy
  • to stimulate the presentation of up-to-date research activities
  • to obtain information on new developments
  • to exchange views with colleagues from many countries on scientific progress and applications
