STEM for BRITAIN 2018 was founded by Dr Eric Wharton in 1997, with the aim to raise the profile of science among Parliamentarians. The event is designed to encourage support and promote Britain's early-stage and early-career research scientists, engineers, technologists and mathematicians, who are an essential part of continuing progress in and development of UK research and development, via an exhibition of research posters and competition.
Public Health England (PHE) have revised guidelines on vitamin D intake based on the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition’s (SACN) scientific literature review on vitamin D and health. To protect bone and muscle health, they recommend vitamin D intakes equivalent to an average of 10 micrograms per day with supplementation where necessary.
