Call for Abstracts

Would you like to present your research or research proposal at Nutrition Futures 2019 in September and receive invaluable feedback and be provided a forum to seek future collaboration?

If so, please read the instructions to authors, complete the following form and submit your abstract/proposal by 5pm (BST) on July 22.

Your abstract should look like the examples provided. Your abstract/proposal should fit onto one A4 page. There are no futher requirements. Please note that no corrections will be accepted after submission.

Please submit a separate form for each abstract/proposal. All communications with the office including acknowledgement, acceptance or otherwise will be electronic using the email address provided on each submission.

Fields marked with an '*' are compulsory; the form will not be submitted without completion.

After submitting you abstract/proposal you will be directed to a confirmation page. If you are not redirected, please contact the Society's Conference Coordinator.

When will I hear if my abstract has been accepted?

Authors will hear by end of August 2019 if their submission has been accepted for presentation at the conference. All accepted authors will need to register to attend the conference.

The programme and abstracts containing all accepted abstracts will be distributed ahead of the conference and at the registration desk at the conference.

Please provide your supervisor's email address. The supervisor you have added below will be sent a confirmation email once your submission is completed.

Please read the following checklist and make sure that your abstract complies:

1. Clear scope

2. Sufficient detail of authors own work

3. Sufficient data/results (normally drawn from previously published work; see previous note above*)

4. References (where appropriate)

5. Objective/background/ conclusions/discussion

6. The proposed review must not have been submitted for publication or published elsewhere

7. Follows layout instructions (found in 'download of instructions and examples' above)

  • A title
  • Author details (including name, affiliation and supervisor/s name)
  • Aims/scope/objective of the review
  • Critical discussion of existing knowledge 
  • Overall conclusions/areas for future research.
