During the webinar, Professor Susan Lanham-New, University of Surrey, will provide an overview of vitamin D given the increased focus on its functionality in recent years; answering the question of whether it is a sunshine superstar, or simply media hype. The webinar will then cover the evidence base for the interaction between diet and sunlight exposure on vitamin D status, examining the causes of vitamin D deficiency, what defines deficiency, and the respective worldwide recommendations. Professor Lanham-New will draw the webinar to close by identifying how vitamin D effects bone health and influences the outcome of other diseases.
Due to the wide success of the original webinar broadcast, there is an opportunity to register to participate in a simulated live version of the webinar. Please note that by registering for one of the simulated live webinars (pre-recorded), you will not be able to ask questions during the webinar.
