How to apply for membership
Do you want to become a member of the Nutrition Society?
Membership of the Nutrition Society is worldwide and is open to all those people with an interest in the science of human or animal nutrition. There is no further qualification required.
PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW BEFORE CONTINUING WITH YOUR MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
Our membership application form requires each individual member to have a unique email address. If you share a generic email address with other people e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org, then please make sure you use a different and unique email address for your application or it will fail.
Depending on your country of residence you will be able to pay for your yearly membership by either Credit/Debit Card, BACS, Cheque or Direct Debit. Please make a note of the appropriate fee should you wish to pay by BACS, Cheque or Direct Debit, as you will be required to complete an additional step to pay using these payment methods.
After submitting your membership application form, you will receive a welcome email via our website. This email contains more details and a link that allows you to create your log-in password. Please check your Spam/Junk/Clutter folder in case you don't see the email in your normal inbox. Once you have the log-in details it is very important that you then go into your membership profile to create your own password. This must be done within 24 hours or the link will expire. You will need to check your details and complete your profile, as without it we will not know your areas of professional interest. Your profile contains details of your area of work, whether you are an Irish or Scottish section member and which of our themes you may be interested in.

If you are an American Society of Nutrition Member (ASN) and wish to take advantage of Nutrition Society membership, please contact our membership team via email with your ASN membership number before completing the application form.
Do you want to renew your membership?
If you are a current member and would like to renew your membership, you can now do this via our website here. Over the next few weeks we will begin notifying you to renew, but you are also do this this ahead of receiving the renewal email. First you need to create an account with the website so that it 'talks' to your record in the database. To do this you will need to use the email address you have on the record or there will not be a match and you will not be able to renew. If you don't remember what email address you have used previously please cnotact the membership team on 0207 605 6555 or contact the Nutrition Society Membership team via email. All memberships from now on, will be on a rolling year basis, and not be based on a calendar year, as previously.
