Join the New Student Section
During the last few months the Student Section Co-Chairs and the Society’s Membership team have been looking into how to make the Student Section more impactful, and how to improve the communication channels between the Society, the Student section, the University Ambassadors, and the student members. We are delighted to tell you that most of this process is now complete. We have created new roles for Student Section Members and we are starting to establish a network of Student Ambassadors. With the current work going on to recruit new University (lecturer) Ambassadors, we are well on the way to being able to create a real student member community, in order to more effectively support you, your education, and career. A diagram to illustrate the new communication pathways is illustrated below.New opportunity
We would now like to offer you the opportunity to apply for one of the Student Section roles (see the list and role descriptions at the bottom of the page). These are specific to work the Section will be involved with. If you have an interest in social media, for example, or a desire to acquire more skills in this field with a view to a future career, then this is the reason to apply for that particular role. The Society is keen to have the new Section up and running as soon as possible, so that they can be involved in organising the Nutrition Futures Conference for 2019 and 2020. These roles won’t guarantee you free attendance at events, but they can help you develop skills and knowledge to enhance your future CV and help in securing a job, when the time comes. The timetable for the application process is shown below
What are the benefits of applying to be on the Student Section? See here.
