Silver Medal

The Nutrition Society Silver Medal has been assigned annually since 1991 for scientific excellence in the field of nutrition.

Congratulations to Dr J. Bernadette Moore, University of Leeds for been awarded the 2018 Silver Medal for her research entitled 'From Sugar to Liver Fat and Public Health: Systems Biology Driven Studies in Understanding Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Pathogenesis'.  A paper based on Dr J. Bernadette Moore's lecture at the 2018 Summer Conference will be published in the Proceedings of the Nutrition Society (PNS). 

2018 applications are now closed.  Further details about 2019 award will be available soon. 

How to apply 

Applicants for the award should submit:

  1. A full CV including publications and citation of the applicant’s work and any scholarships or awards received
  2. A statement of achievements within each judging criteria category (maximum 1000 words)
  3. An abstract summary of the proposed lecture at a Society's Conference
  4. The names, addresses and emails of three Proposers who are familiar with the applicant’s work and who will support the application
