This webinar will cover the various aspects of presenting an abstract both pictorially as a scientific poster, and orally. Dr Greg Lessons will provide the benefit of his experience presenting his own research to various audiences, in various settings and in various formats. Using some examples of his experiences and observations, Dr Lessons will guide you through the common pitfalls to avoid, and will provide some basic rules which will guide you depending on the context, content and audience.

The overarching aim is for the viewer to finish the webinar with a clear understanding of how to effectively communicate an abstract to various audiences, making their research stand-out from the rest of the pack by being visually attractive, concise and memorable, leaving the audience wanting to know more. With some simple concepts, some efficient ‘short cuts’ and a little creativity, this process should be fun and expressive, turning science into art.
