As part of the celebration of its 50th year, BNF is hosting a special April conference.

Talking about the next generation: Nutrition in school age children

Good nutrition is of crucial importance for the wellbeing, growth and development of children. Helping children achieve and maintain a healthy diet will have lasting health benefit, and some research suggests there may be an impact on academic attainment.

Clearly nutrition is a key issue for healthy schools but what is the current status of nutrition in schools, and how might we do things better to further improve the nutritional health of our young generation?

This 50th anniversary event will be an exciting day combining expert presentations with a series of good practice case studies. It should be of interest to a wide audience including those working in education, public health, nutrition, media and government.
