The 19th annual Animal Science Meeting, taking place online, hosted by the Royal Society of Biology Animal Science Group.

This annual meeting aims to bring together representatives from sectors involved in animal science across the UK. Invited guests will include active researchers and research support staff, vets, technologists, administrators, AWERB members, Government staff in regulatory and advisory roles, and representatives from the industry and charity sectors. 

This year, the meeting will take place over two afternoons on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 December 2021, in an online format.

  • Animal sentience in UK policy making
  • Reproducibility of animal research in the light of biological variation
  • Experimental design for animal behavioural studies
  • In-vivo education and skills training
  • Culture of care at animal research establishments
  • 3Rs and regulations for chemical safety testing
  • Animal research and societal views
