The inaugural International Sarcopenia Translational Research Conference will be held on 11-12 June 2020, in the vibrant city of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
Sarcopenia is a growing area of clinical and research activity, and the need for more widespread diagnosis and development of treatment options is pressing. Translational research is key to these aims. Great strides are being made in our scientific understanding of sarcopenia and muscle health, and the challenge now is to translate these advances into better care and better treatments for older people.
The aim of this conference is to bring together researchers with interests in sarcopenia and muscle health from a wide range of disciplines – all are welcome. ISTRC particularly encourage attendance by early-career researchers, including PhD students.
ISTRC hope that you will be able to join them, enjoy the opportunity to hear from leaders in this rapidly evolving field, and help shape the future translational research agenda.
