Scientific Programme Organisers:

The Food and Drink Federation (FDF)

The UK population does not eat enough fibre, but this fibre gap is even wider for those in lower socioeconomic groups. For this year’s Fibre February, the FDF are hosting a webinar to explore the importance of bridging this fibre gap and reducing diet related inequalities.

Join this webinar to hear from a range of expert speakers including Dr Katie Adolphus, RNutr, Research Fellow at Leeds University, and a range of industry experts involved in the FDF’s Action on Fibre initiative.

Dr Katie Adolphus will discuss how industry and academics can co-design interventions to effectively increase fibre intakes in low socio-economic status populations, as part of the newly funded H3 research project. We will also hear a range of company case studies, demonstrating how reformulation and targeted initiatives can increase fibre intakes for those most in need.
