2021 Julie Wallace Award winner announced - Dr Elaine McCarthy

The Nutrition Society Julie Wallace Lecture, in memory of Professor Julie Wallace and her sustained commitment to supporting and promoting early career researchers, is an award that recognises early stage scientific excellence in the field of nutrition. 

The Nutrition Society are pleased to announce the judges have selected Dr Elaine McCarthy from University College Cork. Dr McCarthy has been awarded the Nutrition Society Julie Wallace Lecture 2021 for her research entitled 'Iron deficiency during the first 1,000 days of life: are we doing enough to protect the developing brain?'

Dr McCarthy will present her research at 12:00 on 23 June at the Society's Irish Conference 2021
