What is BAPEN?
The British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition is a multi-professional association and registered charity. Established in 1992, BAPEN is committed to improving nutritional care and treatment in hospital, care and the community.
What are BAPEN’s objectives?
Membership of the Nutrition Society is worldwide and is open to those with a genuine interest in the science of human or animal nutrition.
To apply for membership of the Nutrition Society please either download and print the appropriate application form and return along with the correct payment or apply online below.
Membership is open to applicants who have ‘a genuine interest in the science of human or animal nutrition’ and support the Society’s aim, ‘to advance the scientific study of nutrition and its applications to the maintenance of human and animal health'.
In addition to membership it is possible to subscribe to our publications.
The Nutrition Society derives its income from the sales of its flagship journal, BJN. In this age of electronic publishing, the Society must have other sources of income, so that it can afford to grow and provide more and better membership benefits: For example, the Society has launched a new more vibrant website, and a forums site for our members to communicate with each other on.
