The Minister for Public Health, Michael Matheson MSP, will open the event which will include talks from academic and government speakers. The aim is to engage with stakeholders around the FSA in Scotland nutrition research and surveillance programme and the public health nutrition issues that matter.
The event will launch the FSA in Scotland’s new eatwell everyday website, a resource designed to help consumers better understand what a healthy balanced diet looks like.
Membership is worldwide and is open to applicants who can demonstrate 'a genuine interest in the science of human or animal nutrition'.
SECTIONS
The Irish Section includes over 250 Nutrition Society members and is chaired by Dr Mary Ward.
The Scottish Section of Nutrition Society has a mailing list of over 300 members and exists to arrange research meetings easily accessible to Scottish Members.
