This year the Nutrition Society Summer Meeting, titled “Translational nutrition: integrating research, practice and policy” was hosted by the Irish Section at Queen’s University Belfast. Alongside this scientific meeting, the Society also organised a public engagement event at W5 with local celebrity chef Jenny Bristow.
The New Dynamics of Ageing Programme (NDA) is an eight-year multidisciplinary research aiming to improve older people's quality of life. In this afternoon workshop four NDA projects are disseminating their latest research findings addressing nutrition issues at home, in hospital and care home.
They will be showing a hospital food management system to prevent malnutrition in patients and touchscreen system to collect information on dietary intake. There will be also presentations, debate, Q&A session, poster/image exhibition.
