ORIGINAL COMMUNICATIONS
The submission deadline for abstracts of Original Communications has passed and online submission is now closed.
Authors will be notified by 15 May 2013 if their Original Communication has been accepted for presentation at the meeting.
Original Communications will no longer be edited and abstracts accepted for this meeting will be copy-edited for house-style and published online in the Proceedings of the Nutrition Society without further correspondence with the author.
The programme of Original Communications accepted for this meeting will be available here prior to the meeting. The printed scientific programme, including the Original Communications running order and abstract booklet will be distributed at registration.
Theme Highlights Session on Monday 15 July 2013 17.15−18.45
A session highlighting research from each of the Nutrition Society’s three Themes; Cellular and Molecular Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition and Whole Body Metabolism, will be held on Monday 15 July from 17.15−18.45.
The session will include an introduction to the Themes and three 20 minute oral presentations, chosen by the Nutrition Society Theme Leaders, from abstracts submitted for presentation as an Original Communication. The presentations will be followed by a short discussion and summary.

The Irish Section includes over 250 Nutrition Society members and is chaired by Dr Mary Ward.
The Scottish Section of Nutrition Society has a mailing list of over 300 members and exists to arrange research meetings easily accessible to Scottish Members.
