Breast Cancer Research 2010 Conference

Achievements in breast cancer research is the theme of the Breast Cancer Research 2010 which takes place at the Royal Society in the heart of London on 18 May 2010.  It is open to all researchers with an interest in breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Campaign’s key objectives are to build the talent pool in breast cancer research, encourage scientific innovation, engage in scientific and public dialogue and ensure research that translates into patient benefit continues.

The conference programme will reflect these goals; showcasing the wide reaching research funded by the charity and the abundance of talent in the wider breast cancer research field.

Campaign’s Scientific Organising Committee is pleased to announce two excellent keynote speakers who are both experts in their fields.

•    Professor Robert E. Coleman, MD, FRCP, FRCPE, presenting on: ‘Recent advances in treatment of metastatic breast cancer’
•    Professor John Bartlett, BSc, PhD, FRCPath, presenting on: ‘Biomarkers for the diagnosis and prediction of therapeutic response in clinical breast cancer’

In line with Campaign’s aim of supporting young researchers at the beginning of their career, the charity will once again be awarding its Emerging Investigator Poster Prize to the scientist that most effectively communicates their research.
